In 1998 I travelled to America to study and work and gained my qualifications in Building Biology and as a Building Environmental Inspector at the Institute for Bau-Biologie and Ecologie.
Since 1999 I have been consulted on design and material use for numerous building renovations and construction; including Australia's First Healthy School at Woodend, Australia's First Building Biology inspired Residence at Dromana, and a purpose built two storey 2,000m2 Office with an 8,000m2 Manufacturing & Warehouse facility in Melbourne.
I have also carried out existing building environmental inspections surveying various aspects of the built environment from air quality concerns including mould and ventilation, moisture problems, light and noise, to concerns arising from the Electro Magnetic Spectrum which have included Electrical and Magnetic Fields from our 240V power use, mobile phone/radio frequency's and ionising radiation. For each problem investigated I have been able to offer advice to reduce the health concerns the client may have and will also install protective shielding for the Electro Magnetic & Radio Frequency Fields of issue.
