Magnetic fields are much more difficult to shield from building occupant spaces as by their nature, ELF AC Magnetic Fields
will penetrate building materials easily and are best avoided through distance.
When this is not an option thick dense materials like lead can produce a reduction in a magnetic field level.
But the best material to use is the lightweight high tech MagField Shielding Metal,
less than 5mm thick it can easily be installed during construction or remodelling,
or after a magnetic field problem has been discovered and needs remedying.

When you need more than one MagField Shielding sheet to cover an area, how do you handle the joints?
Joint-Shield is the perfect solution!
This is a generous 0.25 millimetres thick, fully hydrogen annealed magnetic shielding alloy with adhesive backing
(rated -15 to 35
oC) on one side.
Simply overlap MagField Shielding sheets by 50mm, use clouts to secure the top and bottom of the sheets and cover
the nail heads with a 5 X 5cm square of Joint-Shield.
For an even more secure system "tape" over the seams with Joint-Shield high permeabilty alloy.
Simple to use: just cut to desired length with a heavy scissors, peel the protective backing and press into place!
Joint-Shield can also be used by itself as an excellent magnetic shielding material when a 10cm width and adhesive backing
is desirable (wrap it around wiring and conduit, speaker magnets, even small appliances like shavers and hair dryers!).
Joint-Shield can be shaped by hand, without the need for special tools, but watch the sharp edges.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
While special alloys in Magnetic Shielding Foils exhibit high magnetic permeability and the electrical conductivity of the E and
RF Shielding Fabrics makes them more attractive to Electrical Fields than humans, there are many factors that affect
the amount of shielding you will achieve by using these materials.
The list of such factors includes: size and shape of the field source, size and shape of the shielded area,
seams in the shielding material, frequency of the field, distance from shield to source, orientation of shield to the source, thickness and treatment of shielding material, etc.
Because there is little to no control over many of these factors, we cannot and do not guarantee any specific shielding
performance for a specific application of these materials.
Also, note that foils, ribbons and plates, once cut to your specifications, are not refundable.
If you are not sure how to use these materials, you may call for suggestions or I may even be able to locate the name of

Demand Switches

Demand Switches are installed into the fuse box. They eliminate electric fields by turning off the circuit they are guarding,
when no current is flowing. Sleeping amongst electric fields is a health hazard.
When you turn off the last appliance (e.g. the bedside lamp), the switch senses that no electricity is used and disconnects
the circuit in the fuse box, giving you and your family a safe night's sleep (of course, it works also during the day).
When you turn your light on again, it re-connects within a 50th of a second.
